European Space Agency Funds Mach 5 Passenger Jet Development

Looking towards the future, the European Space Agency is funding research into building a highly-advanced, Mach 5 (roughly 3,800 MPH) passenger jet. The new plane — called the A2 — would carry 300 passengers within its sleek airframe and would be capable of scurrying from Northern Europe to Australia in less than five hours.
