2.75 – December 26, 2011

With this little tool you can very easily upload pictures to www.imgur.com and www.imageshack.us without having to go through their website. You can enable shell link integration and simply Right-click the file and select “Send to Imgur/Imageshack or drag the file to the app. window and it will automatically start uploading.

2.7:

– Added a 64 bit version. Context menu works with this one. (note: aero thumbnails capture doesn’t yet work in this version for x64)
- Cropped capture now displays a live view while you select the area.
- Added a “current session” log area, which is deleted after you restart.
2.71: fixed tray icon.
2.72: fixed captures folder setting. added old crop capture method, use it by holding Alt when you press the crop button.
2.73: removed minimize to tray. changed some settings related to auto-resize. removed temporal files creation during image optimization, it’s all done in memory now; fixed an issue where the optimized file was deleted before upload thus giving an error.
2.75: Fixed an issue when capturing if you have 2 or more monitors. Fixed captured area size display while cropping. Added the ability to crop the screen without either saving or uploading (useful to just copy to clipboard after the crop for sharing in msn/skype). Added a check on start-up to reset the window position if it’s offscreen (can happen after switching monitors arrangement). Fixed screen flickering when cropping with alternate method.

2.5x users: The appdata folder has changed in this version from “TinyPic Uploader” to “Tiny Uploader”. If you wanna keep the send log you had, you just have to move the files in the old folder to the new one (with the application closed).

Features:

  • Send multiple files in a queue
  • Crop an area of the screen
  • Send existing files via context-menu, selecting them from a dialog, or dragging them to the application window
  • Capture the active window when you press F11
  • Select a window from currently running applications via Aero live thumbs (Vista and W7 only)
  • Send your clipboard contents (image)
  • Send to either Imgur or Imageshack, and get the direct link copied to your clipboard automatically
  • Auto-resize pictures and/or lower quality automatically if file exceeds a given size, to speed-up uploads on slow connections (like non-Japanese)
  • Store captures from cropping or paste etc
  • Supports multiple monitors in any configurations (spanned horz/vertically etc)
  • Works in Linux via wine libraries
  • .net framework is NOT required
  • Supports specific Windows 7 features (taskbar progress)
  • Store a log with comments and its link about every upload

History:

# 2.5x update:

I have removed tinypic support which was no longer working (they added a captcha check on uploads, which was bypassable only by some non-official hidden api which seems to be linked with facebook apps sdk, sort of, kinda obscure), and added Imgur instead. This other service seems so far very fast and reliable, with the only downside of allowing a max of 50 uploads per hour (or 100 if you have a user account, not yet supported in my app).

I have also renamed it to “Tiny Uploader”, however, I’ve left untouched the filenames and capture folders, application name in the start menu etc for compatibility with the older versions, not to make a mess (specially with the context menu registered shell extension). In the near future there will be a whole new separate version 3 of tiny uploader, so you shall then uninstall 2.x first and install the new version.

2.52: added a caption in the status bar indicating the amount of pictures you can upload to Imgur and the time the limit will reset (50 per hour as per their API). changed dropbox for a couple buttons for the upload/capture options for a little more convenience.
2.51: replaced the old html parsing and browser mimic code for Imageshack upload to make use of their API.
Added a button that links to the delete page for the last uploaded image, for both Imgur and Imageshack.

2.05: fixed upload to imageshack # added options to log: copy all to clipboard and launch all in browser. # removed messyshare
2.06: fixed tpic
2.10: added option to select capture/send modes (able to do only captures) # option to build html file with URLs from log
2.15: fixed upload to imageshack # added option to copy captured image to clipboard

    source code please?

  • 833P

ImageShack have just changed their policy “Animated gif uploads are only available for subscribed registered users.”

  • 833P

Just to add, “subscribed” = you have to pay for the service.

Is there a way that you could add a way to remove the women from the pictures?  It is an amazing program and works perfectly well.

The only two things I dislike are:
    1) The girl, on both the icon and the one inside the background of the program.
    2) If you could for Firefox (Aurora and/or Nightly) users, make it so it opens in a new Tab not a new window when you try to “View Picture Link (browser)”.

Thank You, but I really do love the program. :)

Having problems with this version; any time I try to clip an image only white space ends up being shown in the preview or uploaded. I didn’t have this problem with previous versions, and I am experiencing this with both 32 and 64 bit versions, portable and installed.

    Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

That’s a limitation of imagur and imageshack, even if you upload the files manually through their site.
