Eden Gallery is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not collect personal data through the app, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not operate a server through which your photos, videos, files, or connected-storage data are routed.

## What We Collect
Eden Gallery does not collect personal data through the app.
The app does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs that send information to Eden.
We do not receive information about:
- When you open or use the app
- Which folders or files you browse
- Which photos or videos you view
- The contents of your files
- Your local storage, SD cards, or USB devices
- Your connected cloud or network storage contents
- Your searches, bookmarks, or other in-app activity
Information that remains exclusively on your device is not transmitted to Eden.
## Device and Storage Access
Eden Gallery may request broad storage access where required for its core file-management and storage-browsing functionality.
This allows the app to work with files and folders across supported storage locations, including:
- Internal device storage
- SD cards
- Attached USB storage
- Other user-accessible storage locations
The permission is used to:
- Browse folders and files
- Display images and videos
- Read media and file information
- Count media contained in folders
- Identify storage usage
- Copy, move, rename, delete, and otherwise manage files where supported by the app
File contents and folder listings are processed on your device and are not sent to Eden.
## App Settings and Bookmarks
Eden Gallery stores settings, bookmarks, and similar app data locally on your device.
This information is not synchronized with Eden and is not transmitted to Eden.
## Online and Network Storage Services
Eden Gallery can connect directly to services such as SMB, FTP, SSH/SFTP, WebDAV, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, MEGA, TrueNAS, and other supported storage services.
When you configure one of these services:
- Connection details, passwords, API keys, and tokens are stored on your device.
- Sensitive credentials are protected using the Android Keystore system where applicable.
- Eden does not receive or store your service credentials.
- Connections are made directly between your device and the relevant service.
- Files and other data retrieved from those services are handled by the app on your device and are not routed through an Eden server.
The relevant service provider may collect or process information according to its own terms and privacy policy. Eden does not control those services or their privacy practices.
## Private Vaults
Eden Gallery provides private vaults for storing selected files and media in an encrypted area.
When creating a vault, you choose its security and performance mode. The available modes differ in their security, encryption, and performance characteristics. The consequences of the selected mode are presented to you when creating the vault.
Vaults can be moved between supported storage locations, allowing you to manage their physical location independently of the app installation.
Depending on the vault mode you select, a vault may either survive removal and reinstallation of Eden Gallery or be configured to be removed when the app is uninstalled. This behavior is determined by the option selected when the vault is created.
Vault contents and encryption information remain under your control on your device. Eden does not receive your vault contents, passwords, or encryption keys.
Eden cannot open your vault, recover a forgotten vault password, or provide a copy of your vault's encryption key.
## Purchases
If you purchase Eden Gallery Pro, the transaction is processed by Google Play.
Eden does not receive or store your payment card or other payment credentials.
The app may receive information from Google Play necessary to determine whether a purchase has been made and to unlock the corresponding features.
## Advertising
Eden Gallery does not display advertisements and does not contain an advertising SDK.
## Children
Eden Gallery is not directed specifically at children.
Because the app does not collect personal data through the app, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its functionality.
## Your Rights and Choices
Because Eden Gallery does not collect personal data through the app, we generally do not possess personal data from the app that could be accessed, corrected, exported, or deleted on your behalf.
If you contact Eden directly, we may retain the information you provide as necessary to respond to your request and manage the correspondence.
You can remove locally stored Eden Gallery data by uninstalling the app, subject to the behavior of any vaults or files that you have deliberately stored outside the app's private storage.
## Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Eden Gallery's functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements change.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
